Online Training Programme on Sustainable Urban Infrastructure & Nature Based Solutions (15th-17th July 2021)

The Nature based Solutions have come up as a solution to promote resilience and reinstate the wellbeing of ecosystems. It acts as a link amongst hydrological functions with planning, urban design, landscape design and natural ecosystem considering the risks involved. It uses blue (water) and green (parks, gardens, plazas, and other natural entities), to guard against flooding, water scarcity and further impacts of Climate Change. While doing so, the Nature based Solutions performs variety of functions within an area such as improving living conditions of the city, fostering economic growth and inclusion, thereby, enhancing sustainable infrastructure development and ecosystem services.
