Online Training Programme on Sustainable Urban Planning (19th-20th August 2021)

Since the legislations and planning process are inconsistent across states and there is lack of effective co-ordination between departments and limitied inter-sectoral integration, it has become imperative to devise a more ‘sustainable’ approach to planning cities that ensures effective and timely implementation of plans. For this training program, ‘sustainable urban planning’ can be described as an approach to planning process that strengthens integrated and intersectoral planning through key planning tools and implementation mechanisms, thereby increasing synergies and funding efficiency.
