Join us as we explore the stories behind India’s landmark infrastructure projects.
02 December 2025
CEPT University, Ahmedabad
The Third Edition of the CEPT Conference on Civil Engineering in India
Theme- Major Infrastructure Projects
The 2025 CEPT Conference on Civil Engineering in India will take a close look at some of India’s major infrastructure projects over the past 25 years. Early landmark projects, such as the Golden Quadrilateral, Mundra Port, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, and the Delhi Metro, set the stage for transformative development.
Recent and ongoing projects, including the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train, industrial and freight corridors, the new Parliament House and Central Vista, the Mumbai Metro, and the Trans-Harbour Link, are continuing this momentum.
Delivering projects of this scale is inherently complex. They involve multiple stakeholders, competing interests, tight timelines, and political sensitivities. They also require advanced technologies, global expertise, and strong capabilities in design, construction, and project management.
This conference will bring together senior leaders, engineers, designers, contractors, developers, and public officials to reflect on these realities. Through case studies and discussions, they will share how they navigated challenges and managed India’s unique project environment to deliver complex infrastructure.
At its core, the conference is asking: What does it take to make major infrastructure projects succeed in India? What lessons can be drawn from those who have led this journey? How can we improve the systems and environments we work in?
The event is organised by the Faculty of Technology, CEPT University and CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF).
